| How to disable ClearType in Windows Vista
Hi, Using Windows Vista is nice due the look and extremely cool nature. But it is also true that this is eating up a large amount of system resource also. I need some settings details about how to disable the Aero Glass transparency and ClearType in Windows Vista. Second thing is there a way by which I can define a IP address when there is no DHCP. This only lies for Windows Vista. I have similar computers to waiting for configuration. |

It is possible to keep the style but by disabling Aero transparency to earn a bit of resources. To do this, put you on the desktop, do right-click > Properties > Color and Appearance > Uncheck the Enable transparency. Clear Type is a mechanism intended to smooth font fonts to make them more attractive. However, for some people and some screens, the result may seem vague and difficult to read (more tiring for the eyes at least). It may then be interesting to disable this option. To do this, put you on the desktop, do right-click > Properties > Color and Appearance > Open classic appearance properties > Effects and then in the dropdown, select Standard instead of ClearType. Then click OK |

| Re: How to disable ClearType in Windows Vista
Unlike Windows XP and earlier, IPv6 is installed by default in Windows Vista and its use can be configured in the settings of each of your network connections. Windows Vista contains a management interface very simple to manage WiFi networks. Unfortunately, this interface is sometimes too simple for advanced users and it is not necessarily easy to find how to add and configure a wireless network manually. Start Menu > Network > Network and Sharing Center > Manage wireless networks. |
