Adobe Premiere CS4 can't play imported video

    Hi,

I 've got a problem. If I want to import one of my video into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, and draw it afterwards for editing the video track 1, it can not be played, so if I want to watch the movie completely normal, I can hear the entire soundtrack during the video duration, however, see only a beginning frame of the video instead of the full video .. I Run otherwise in a player (Media Player or VLC), it plays normally.

Not all extension videos can cut with Premiere. Some do not even cut. In fact, I think Youtube now has a mini built-in cutting themselves. Whatever the case, Premiere is not really designed to recognize each codec at once and process them.

You can try the following times:
    1. Can the Media Player to play the file?
    2. Can you do it with Movie Maker and cut open?
    3. Look at the VideoFAQ, there are some freeware editing programs ..

As far as I know Premiere has problems with the codec anyway. The best thing would be if you understand the codec before you editing the video. Even if this is actually the worst way, because recoding usually brings with it a quality deterioration. But if you want to make just a simple cut, or simply want to make edits, I can tell you as a free editing program VDub that can do this.

One of the most important "tasks", which everyone must do for the first time when you wants to edit video on the computer, the choice of the appropriate codecs. There are many excellent codecs for the distribution of video such as the Internet or on BluRay disc. These codecs are not suitable for the cut, especially because they are based GoP. For the video, however, there are a number of high efficiency, so-called "intermediate codecs". These include both lossy, and lossless codecs.
