Fax from Sharepoint 3.0

I am running WSS 3.0 on a Windows Small Business Server 2008 box with an internal Conextant fax modem. Sharepoint's fax center is receiving faxes, but I got the impression that users could also send faxes through the shared fax modem from within Sharepoint. However, I don't see any way to set it up. I just sent a fax from the server using the Windows Fax and Scan program which required me to configure an account, and that fax shows up in the "sent" faxes folder.
All I need now is to give users the capability to send faxes from within Sharepoint 3.0 if that can be done.

WSS 3.0 has a feature called web part called the Page Viewer Web Part that allows you to display any HTTP site in-line from the WSS 3.0 site. After you install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 side-by-side with Windows SharePoint Services 2.0, Windows SBS administrative tools continue to work properly with Windows SharePoint Services 2.0, but do not interact with Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. Windows SBS repair scenarios, such as uninstalling and reinstalling Windows SharePoint Services 2.0, also work properly and do not interact with the new Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site.

Either we have a misunderstanding or I don't grok your instructions. I have done a little web part editing, but what I am hoping to do is make it possible for a user to fax a document from the site by accessing the modem on the sharepoint site server.
