    Quality sound for latest PC

The existence of dedicated sound cards this still make no sense. Today, all motherboards are equipped with audio chipsets that meet more or less all the functions which the general user needs: they produce a sound almost decent (especially often in line with the quality of the speakers used) , supports multichannel sound and, provided we invest a little in a motherboard upscale allow encoding in Dolby Digital or DTS. The arrival of Vista and the end of the audio hardware acceleration is still a crop areas in which certain sound cards could still make the difference between the chipsets. I am looking for more information on it. Is it worth buying a costly audio system or the sound quality depends on the software.

We see a budget with a little bit limited, we will quickly change the sound card in favor of a processor or a more powerful graphics card. As there are many dedicated sound cards in the market that despite its near monopoly has failed to convince the user. Today sound is not considered as so much importance than the graphic or software. As for example, an unexpected player in this market, and Sonar D2, or with the Auzentech Prelude 7.1. That varies on choice basis.

To represent the audio chipsets I chose the Analog Devices AD1988B. It is with the Realtek ALC889 chipset as used on newer motherboards. Realtek gives out most common and a considerable quality of sound on your pc which is needed by all. Or you can go for dedicated but costly sound cards if your interest lies there more. Surf on internet for sound cards and you will get numerous suggestions.

The arrival of Windows Vista has given DirectSound and DirectSound 3D. It is amusing to note that Vista is also the only version of Windows that supports DirectX 10.x. The real reason behind this that it acts mainly to generate a manageable audio completely cross platform between the PC and X-Box 360. The latter has seen the day with an audio engine run entirely in software with calculations made by the central processor is the XAudio. So according to me it is not so needed to get a dedicated hardware for it.

If your system has Vista the it comes with the X 2 Audio, a new version of the audio engine will be supported by both Vista and the X-Box. It is the fruit of the union between X Audio (audio engine of the X-Box 360) and LEAP for Longhorn Expandable Audio Processor. LEAP can make everything sound chips can do mixing in mixing and application of DSP effects software. This full fill your need of a DJ software or a professional sound editor. A changing, integrated X 2 Audio also allows management and mixing of sounds in several formats (ADCPM, xWMA Windows) and of different sampling rates, that does not DirectSound.

I will never go for a additional sound card. The disappearance of the hardware acceleration from the sound card or audio chipset is not in itself a disaster. Virtually all operations were performed by the CPU, including effects and a large part of the mixing. This had enabled DirectSound 8.0 by allowing some more addition. Just get a good speaker and a nice one audio software.
