    iTunes Import Help

so i recently purchased an external HD, backed up all my meda (movies, music). Then i wiped out my computer and installed Win7. Here is my question, Can i import all my music and video back onto the new fresh install of iTunes, with it having all the Artist, Title, Album all back in the same order i orginally had it. Without having to put all the music back onto the computer. just letting it sit on the external HD.

    Re: iTunes Import Help

I think you only need to just drag the whole folder into iTunes. Convert it to MP3 (or whatever you have your importing preferences set at) using the Advanced menu and see if this new file is keeping its ID3 tag. You don't have to select each one. You may lose customized organization of those files, but I'm pretty sure it will all be imported.
