Entourage 2004 and Entourage 2008 can use an Exchange configuration if its IT staff has enabled the necessary adjustments. They can also access Exchange via IMAP if your staff has enabled IMAP.
Unlike Outlook, Entourage can not auto-discover an Exchange server can not auto-configure an Exchange account. This must be done manually by the user. My advice to you is to find a Windows computer that has access to Exchange. Examine the Outlook installation on the computer and copy your configuration. The Entourage transfer settings.
Make sure the exchange virtual directory on the CAS server has basic authentication enabled. If you can not see any of these authentication, you must be add using the Server Manager. If you don't have have an SMTP server running. You no need to get that in turn one on for you to use, or if you must use different SMTP server (like the one running on your machine).
Entourage 2004 does not support sending and receiving Tasks through Exchange Server. The following are alternatives to sending and receiving Tasks through Exchange:
◦Email messages sent through Exchange can be converted to Tasks by selecting Create Task From Message from the Applescript menu.
◦For occasional access to Outlook and its Exchange/Tasks features use Remote Desktop Connection for Mac to access an available Windows XP Professional computer or Terminal Services Server.
