Install Upgrade software on new machine

I just changed laptops and my MS Office with project 03 and visio 03 were on that machine and I purchased upgrade CD to project 07 and visio 07. Now I can't install visio 07 and project 07 because the upgrade cd's can't find the 03 version (on my new laptop). Is there any way around this so that I can install from the upgrade cd?

you can uninstall older version from control panel add/remove software and then again try to install your new updated version directly

Yes you can, and the license never is attached to the motherboard, the license is attached to the rig where you install the OS. Also, you will need to perform a clean install when migrating from project 03 and visio 03 to project 07 and visio 07. When migrating from project 03 and visio 03 to project 07 and visio 07 you will have no "in place upgrade" option. Everytime that you re-install the OS, the license number is asked, independent if is the same computer of the first installation or is another PC. You will however have the option to select "custom" install when prompted.
