How to repair problems in Ms office 2007

Hi, i need some urgent help from you all guys. I am a Windows Xp user and have installed Microsoft office 2007. Now from last few days, i am facing some strange problems with the same. while working around it one of my friend suggested me to repair the problems with 2007 Office programs and features. So that is what i wanted to know. Could you guys please make me know how to do so ? Thanks in advance.

You can repair problems in installed 2007 Office programs and features with the help of Office Diagnostics. In order to run Office Diagnostics from a 2007 Office program, just go through this steps:-

• Start the Office Diagnostics tool. For a ribbon-based 2007 Office program, follow these steps:
  
  • Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Program Options.
    
  • Note In this option, Program represents the name of the program.
  • In the Navigation Pane, click Resources.
  • Click Diagnose.
• Click Continue.
• Click Start Diagnostics.
• If the Office Diagnostics tool identifies a problem, it tries to fix the problem.
• When the Office Diagnostics tool finishes, click Close.

You can also repair the same by running the Detect and Repair tool from Add or Remove Programs. To do so:-

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
   
   
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
   
   
3. Click Microsoft Office Edition 2007, and then click Change.
   
   
4. In this option, Edition represents the Microsoft Office edition that is installed on the computer.
   
   
5. Click Repair, and then click Continue

Hey, thanks for sharing this useful info friends. I was also in need of some similar help. I also need to repair my Office program but it is Office 2003. Do the same steps work with 2003 as well or it is different ? Please let me know how to repair Office 2003 programs and features ? Help appreciated.

To run the Detect and Repair Tool from Add or Remove Programs for Office 2003, just go through these steps:-

• Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
• Double-click Add or Remove Programs, click Microsoft Office 2003, and then click Change.
• In the Microsoft Office 2003 Setup dialog box, click Reinstall or Repair, and then click Next.
• Click either Reinstall Office or Detect and Repair errors in my Office installation, and then click Install.
