    Outlook 2007 crashes - olmapi32.dll

    Hi,

I had a problem with Outlook 2007 with BCM where Outlook will crash in the middle of an action (which vary, I could send or receive email,
the preparation of a project, etc) and reboot. Vista then say that a solution to the accident is available and offers me a link to the review. I download and try To install the patch, just to say that is already installed. If the recommended fix is already installed and accidents continue, how can I diagnose the source of the problem.

I had the same problem before. I solved it by making a new profile and importing all the old emails. It worked once, when I restart suddenly could no longer enter the control panel applet address (it crashed with the "Run a DLL as an" error message App in the first poster) and Outlook itself will not start. It gives me safe mode and Detect and Repair, but also allow Outlook to start properly.

You could try to rename Olmapi32.dll, for example. OLD, then use Add / Remove Programs to perform a repair installation of Office. You can also uninstall Outlook 2007 and reinstall Outlook 2003, if desired. You will not be able to use Word as your e-mail editor and features, like the merge will not work, but most everything else should work.

    Try the following things :
    1. Click the OK button for the user name / initial confirmation box before answering any other dialog box that appears.

    2. Close Outlook using the Task Manager. Open Word and complete the setup process the user (username / Help baseline characteristics and the search). Then, close Word and Outlook should work fine.
