Although virtualization and emulation have been around for decades in the world of big iron mainframes, it was only last year, or that virtualization is beginning to appear on desktop machines. The advantages are obvious. With a shell of virtualization you can multiboot OS X, Windows, Linux, other variants of Unix, DOS and even all on the same machine. This has obvious curiosity value, but practical applications should not be dismissed.Installing VirtualBox process is painless. Start by visiting the website of VirtualBox. You can read more about the current state of the project, and also a link to the download page. The downloads are being hosted by Sun, which means that instead of a simple HTTP download, you can use download manager for Sun. On the Mac, VirtualBox comes as a file mpkg. Double clicking a few options and install in the Applications folder, where it runs as usual.

Establish a new virtual operating system takes a few simple steps. You'll need either a copy of a CD installation disk or ISO image. VirtualBox can install from either. You'll also need a little disk space. For our example, we created a new GUID partition on an external disk replacement using DiskUtility. There is no reason not to use an internal drive if you have the space. VirtualBox disks are self-contained, so an OS running in VirtualBox considers a partition that you've assigned to it is the disk space available.
Click New in the box window details and VirtualBox will ask some simple questions and need some basic settings. You will need to specify the amount of base memory that you want to save. VirtualBox takes the main memory from your Mac in the same manner as any other application would. You will also need to specify the amount of video memory you need. The default of 8 MB is on the weak side profile - 64 MB or 128 MB is more likely.
The next step is to choose an operating system from the list of supported options. This includes all the usual favorites as well as more exotic choices such as OS / 2 and Solaris. Variants of standard desktop of Windows are included, but you can also run Windows Server 2003 and 2008, which can virtualize server business applications as those in office. It is important to choose the operating system from the drop-down list that appears during installation - each OS has different interface requirements. To install an OS, follow the usual steps. For our example, we installed Ubuntu from a CD burned. Ubuntu can boot from the CD, so it was easy to get a computer up and running almost instantly. But we also conducted a full installation to create a system based on the startup disk.

Apple has filed a lawsuit because they are not installed on the Apple-labeled hardware. It will DiscCloud have a better chance of taking the OS off the machine?
DiscCloud is a device that houses the software virtualization in Leopard. The unit runs a virtual machine with VMware Server. You will be able to run Leopard on any x86 system.
The company says the process is 100% Apple license compliant. You do not even need to buy their equipment - All you need is the client application and a VMWare server. Once installed the company says you'll be able to establish a working Mac in only 5 minutes.Installing VirtualBox process is painless. Start by visiting the website of VirtualBox. Eric,

The very first sentence of your post mentions that Apple has filed a lawsuit against Disccloud. Where did you see the lawsuit filing?
