Simply install the cidecs in your xp. I'm using DivX, and can successfuly play the vob files under windows media player 11.
There is one easy trick that worked for me, try and see if it works for you:
- Go to folder option form the bview menu in windows explorer.
- In view tab uncheck the section "Hide extensions for known file types."
- After that, you could see the file types of all your vob files.
- Now change the vob files into avi files.
- Then you could play vob files as avi files on Window media player.
For this also you need to install he codec in your system to play vob files. Best is install the K-lite codec and set the windows media player as default player for vob files. You can download the K-Lite codec from here K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 5.1.8 .
