Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 will not install

I've had Office Professional Plus 2007 installed on my Gateway laptop since purchasing in 2007.

This past week, it failed to open.

I uninstalled it and attempted to reinstall.

After a few minutes, I get an error message indicating that failure to install was due to an error. No other information is provided.

I attempted to reinstall dozens of times with no success. So I reinstalled Office XP Pro 2002. Now Outlook won't open in that application.

I attempted to reinstall 2007 by updating 2002, and get the same failure message.

Have you updated to the latest service pack? Also try to download the Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 again and install it cause it might be possible that it could be a corrupt download.
