Itunes restore error 9

Hi,

My jaibroken iPod touch had a small problem home button and I wanted to use the warranty, so I thought I should open iTunes and restore the factory settings so they don't know its been Jailbroken when I tried to do so, it gives me error 9. What is that?

iTunes must restore the phone. Put it in restore mode by holding home button and power button for like 20 seconds while plugged into your computer until you see a USB and an iTunes icon. Then, just use a restore ipsw.

Try a shift-restore in DFU mode and restore to 2.2.1 or 3.0 and Restart your computer or try changing the USB port you are using.

To resolve error 9, try this:

1. Open iTunes, Goto Recovery mode by holding Power + Home on the phone
2. iTunes will also detect 'Recovery mode'
3. Download the iPhone 1.0.2 firmware
4. Press SHIFT + Restore button on iTunes and manually select the firmware you just downloaded.
