No its not virus, you can simply remove or delete it from startup. RUNONCE is the Microsoft "Run Once" Wrapper. It is a program which developers can use as part of their installation procedures to ensure, for example, that after the first reboot post the installation of the software, some additional configuration program is run to complete the installation, and once only. If you find a RUNONCE.EXE entry in your startups, reboot your PC if it is still there after reboot, then you can safely disable it or delete it on the Startups tab.
Part of MS Data Access Components - only required if you use these. Try stopping startup programs one at a time - By Using System Configuration Utility
- Click on the Start Button, enter msconfig and hit Enter.
- Click on the Startup tab.
- Uncheck items that you do want to auto-start and click OK.
