Partition Magic - Error 4444

I try to resize my partitions and I get inconsistencies when using Partition Magic 8, some non-partition logical / physical are illegible because replaced by "? I. .." and when I checked the partitions I get the error code 4444. I installed the beta version of vista on a physical partition, but I do Partition Magic 8 launch only under XP.

If you try to modify partitions in Vista, it's normal. Try another software like GParted for example. The GParted application is the GNOME partition editor for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions. With GParted you can accomplish the following tasks:

• Create a partition table on a disk device.
• Enable and disable partition flags such as boot and hidden.
• Perform actions with partitions such as:
  
  • create or delete
  • resize or move
  • check
  • label
  • copy and paste

Vista has upgraded the version of NTFS, the NTFS Vista are not supported by an old acquired from PowerQuest PM8 (PowerQuest DriveImage is replaced by Norton Ghost).

Note: before using Partition Magic, it must make a backup more: chkdsk C: / F / R, chkdsk D: / F / R, etc..

I am not stubborn because I seek to understand PM8 does not work properly, just as fast analysis. But I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling PM8. And it worked. Thank you
