HP 520 Audio driver for Linux

I have a HP 520 laptop on which i had installed Linux as my operating system. Recently i have noticed that i'm facing some audio problem on my HP 520 laptop. I would like to reinstall my audio driver on my laptop, but unfortunately i had lost the original driver disc. So, can any one tell me that where can i get HP 520 audio driver for Linux based? Does any one have any idea about it? Kindly provide me the correct information on the above issue. Thanks in advance.

Most cards seem to work as of Ubuntu 6.06 LTS using the stock kernel. Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.

If your boot hangs on loading the module for snd-hda-intel, try disabling the card in your BIOS. It is called "HD Audio Controller", "Azalia Audio" or similar. Driver Checker updates software for Windows, which will give you controls to backup, uninstall ,update and restore Vista and XPdrivers in a user-friendly way.
