application failed to initialize properly on all programs whenever attempted to run (0xc000007b)

So, someone said it was a virus, a worm. My AVG doesn't open, nor does Windows Defender. I'm unsure of how to rid my system of this virus without being able to run programs.

I can't get my windows identification number as no programs will run... automatically, I'll have to pay for Windows support - something I don't want to do.

I backed up my files to a hard drive; the ones I thought were important. Does this mean that I now have a virus upon that hard drive as well? If so, the question becomes of how to get the virus off?

Could there be another reason for the error? In the past, my system worked completely fine. I didn't do anything to get the virus.

Yes this error occur due to virus , "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click Ok to terminate the application." error message in vista 64 .Now its looks like your all application is infected with virus completely AVG is useless with some virus ,this can be rootkit virus check here What is Rootkit. How to remove it. so to remove it boot from safe mode and try to run this application with that root kit guide also use ccleaner to clean junk files and registry ..if this not works better you connect your harddisk to another computer who having good updated antivirus like CA intenet security , bitdefender or norton also use that GMR for root kit detection.
