Edited image in iphoto won't show up in Aperture

I am a Mac OS X user and have installed iPhoto so that i can edit images comfortably. Last week i also installed Aperture 2 on the same machine. Now the problem is that the images that are already edited in iPhoto won't show up in Aperture 2. I don't why it is happening. Do you guys have any idea what might be the problem ? Please let me know too. Thanks in advance.

When you edit an image in iPhoto, the original is not modified. iPhoto makes a copy of the original, and then modifies the copy. Aperture is not aware of this, and sees the untouched original. Here is how to use iPhoto to edit images for Aperture:-

    • After you have performed your edits in iPhoto, choose File > Export.
    • Click the File Export tab in then Export window.
    • Specify the size, file format, and name of the exported image.
    • Click the Export button and select a destination for the file.
    • In Aperture, import the image exported from iPhoto into your project.

The easiest way to bring your images into Aperture is to move them all at once a good route if your iPhoto library is small or if you’ve been meticulous about keeping it organized. You can also try these steps to fix this problem:-

    1. Quit iPhoto or Aperture and use Software Update to install the latest version of the application and the latest version of Mac OS X.
    2. When Software Update has completed, quit all open applications.
    3. Open iPhoto or Aperture.
    4. iPhoto: Select your book, Calendar, or card from the Source list on the left.
    5. Aperture: Select your book from the Projects pane on the left.
    6. Preview your order

Re: Edited image in iphoto won't show up in Aperture

Aperture 2 offers a new RAW decode option "RAW 2.0" available in the RAW Fine Tuning area of the Inspector or the Adjustments HUD. Newly imported images will use RAW 2.0. Images in your existing libraries and projects are not automatically converted to RAW 2.0. In most cases, migrating to RAW 2.0 will improve image quality.
