Need driver for CDMA 1x USB MODEM

    Hi,
I was using a USB modem of Tata Indicom. The name of modem is Photon. It is not working from last few days. I want to re-install the modem in my computer. But I did not have the driver for the same. I am looking on many sites but there is no driver listed for this purpose. One of my friend has Huawei EC325 internet adapter from TATA. Does anyone knows the driver of this tool. Where to get it. Thanks in advance.

There is a way by which you can install the modem back in your system. But for that you need to connect your computer to internet. Just plug the modem and right click on My Computer > Properties. Then go Hardware > Device Manager. In the list right click on your USB modem and go to Properties. Then choose drivers > update driver. Windows will search online for the driver and installed the product. Each product of TATA Indicom especially the Internet support one has a small disc that comprises the driver of the disc. You can also get the same from the local gallery of the company.

Download from the below link the Dialer of the Modem. It also has the drivers. The download link is for the disc which comes with the modem. So it has all the related drivers and the dialer which needs to install and use the product. It is freely available on the official site also. The download supports the following models -

I am listing download link for some most useful TATA Indicom CDMA mobiles. These drivers and related download are really hard to find. So as you download them make a disc. The drivers are as per the model numbers. Second thing if your using a manual Dialer that means you are not using the dialer provided by TATA then in the telephone number box always put #777. If you did not configure it properly then the internet will not work. Also if you use the dialer below then you does not need to configure it.

Follow the below steps to solve your issue, assuming you have installed the driver package of approx 7 MB on WIndows7 & still not able to use the device:
    1. Without uninstalling the setup, please follow below steps:
    2. Right Click on “Computer” & select “Manage”
    3. Attach Device to USB
    4. You should see 3 new entries under “Other Devices”
    5. Right Click on 1st entry i.e. “Data Interface” & Click on “Update Device Software”
    6. Select “Browse My Computer for Driver Software”
    7. Locate “C:\Program Files\ZTE CDMA1X MODEM\driver\Vista\X86″ in BROWSE dialog-box & click on NEXT
    8. “Installting Driver Software” Screen should come
    9. It should install either of 3 Drivers i.e. ZTE USB Modem FFFD or ZTE Voice Port FFFD (COM5) or ZTE Voice Port FFFD (COM6). There should be 1 lesser entry in “Other Devices”
    10. Repeat steps for other 2 entries & you should automatically get remaining 2 drivers
    11. Ready to use Reliance NetConnect & Explore World
