Photoshop CS4 error : setup has encountered an error

hi
i have Photoshop CS4 so i try to install it on my windows xp but after i strtwd installation i get error before completion of setup .i got following error message

Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance

how to solve this?

Did you tried to install this before ? because in such case some registry value may be the reason for this problem so check for damaged registry which is corrupt and delete it also clean temporary folder.Use registry cleaning application like cc cleaner also you can try desktop maestro which is the file cleaner for your computer, the try install a fresh known working version of CS4.

Open a command prompt Start > Run > type CMD then cd c:\windows\system32\ then regsvr32 jscript.dll press enter .Now start setup. Also check for your installation setup file that is proper also check for previous registry entries that might left behind which need to remove.

Make sure you are not using downloaded version from internet that is from torrent or p2p get original version because there is lots of issues over come with pirated software also make sure about Licensing for this product is proper.
