Hi everyone. My sister was trying to remove some old programs from her T61 laptop and by mistake uninstalled Windows Audio Service. I am quite sure she did b/c it's missing from the services list. The drivers seem to be up-to-date and working.
I've tried to find info on how to reinstall the audio service but everything I have found is about it not working but actually being there -- this one is gone .
I tried to do a Thinkvantage restore and recovery but this laptop doesnt have that feature... The laptop must have been cleaned and the OS has been replaced with a copy of Vista Ultimate for a Dell laptop (fyi my sis got this used from someone else).
So, my question is how do I either recover or reinstall Windows Audio Service for vista? I've already tried to find it as a file online but no luck, and all of the registry codes I have seen are for XP.
I'd be willing to completely clean this laptop and reinstall a fresh OS but I don't have a copy of Windows or a recovery disk...
I appreciate any advice on this topic. Thanks!!
