What is a Lemon File

Hi,
Does anyone is familiar with Lemon file. I had recently downloaded a video from rapid share link. The downloaded file has extension of .lemon. Never heard about this before. Are you guys familiar with the file extension. What tool I will need to play this file and from where I can download it. Is it a audio type file format or video file format. I had tried the same in VLC but nothing works here. Any suggestion regarding this would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

It is type of compress file. You can try renaming the extension of the file as .rar. And just double click on that. I hope that you system has a archive tool which can decompress it. But I am not sure about any particular product that is related to Lemon. It is a very rare format. There are very less files which are compressed in lemon format. There is also no dedicated tool which can open a Lemon file. Even if you navigate on net you will hardly found anything about the file. Just try this method.

Download and install WinZip in your computer. It is a freeware tool available on many site for free download. I had received a lemon file in mail. After fiddling around on the net I discovered that Winzip can open this file. It is not actual file format. It is a container like zip files which has data in it. You will need to decompress it. After installing Winzip just right click on the file and select Exract file. If you does not found the option then run it and click on Extract. Manually browse the file and extract to a destination.

The files which are specifically downloaded from LemonShare.net possess this extension. It is a RapidShare site. There are many other format other than Lemon which is used for downloading games, audio, ebooks, movies, songs,etc. Some are often password protected which you cannot access. Try this. Rename your file and type the extension as .rar. And then extract it by right clicking on it. But you have to remember that if WinRar fails to open then the files will be damaged. So better a keep a copy of it.
