iTunes wont install on Windows 7

I am having a Vista and Windows 7 computers at home. I am using iTunes 8 since long time on Vista to sync my iPhone and Ipod without any issue. Now when i am trying to install the same on Windows 7, it gives me error and stop the installation. Do you guys have any idea why iTunes wont install on Windows 7 ? Please suggest me something. Thanks for the help in advance.

The problem may be coz your iTunes installer file may be got corrupted. Try downloading the fresh .exe and install it. If it won't works still than try to install it in compatibility mode. Or you could create a new profile user, restart the machine and from that try to install the application. Or simple go with these steps:-

1. Right click on iTunes64.msi and select Edit with Orca
2. On the left side tables, right click on Error and click Drop Table.
3. Now click on Yes.
4. Save the file.
5. Now try to install.
6. Hope you won't get any error now.

As per me, the older version creates problem most of time to install on Windows 7. So what i can suggest you is try the latest version. Apple has already released iTunes 9 yesterday that can help you for sure. There are many other new features in iTunes 9 like iTunes LP, iTunes Extras. Also get all drivers installed up to date and working before trying to install iTunes 9 on Windows 7.

Thanks buddy , That worked for me. I just downloaded iTunes 9 and it got installed without any problem.

I guess previous versions were not made compatible for Windows 7. Anyways, i appreciate your quick help.
