Not able to search .pst files Outlook 2007 on Vista

Hello everybody,

I am using windows vista on my computer.I fed up with searching PST files in Outlook 07. The file is entirely indexed and I've rebuilt the index, but when I put something in the search always getting "No matches found for search items.It happens with all files.anyone out here to help me out in this matter..

Hi there,I have a fix for you.you just re-enable indexing of your mailbox. On Control Panel go to Indexing Options>Modify>mailbox that you want indexed.After that boot Outlook to start indexing your mail.Usual behavior for the count to rapidly soar as Outlook finds all your mail that required to be indexed, then the count should drop calmly as mails get indexed. For big mailboxes, it can need hours to be fully indexed.

I guess that you must have the PST open in outlook for WDS to view that.You can manage this from Settings>Control Panel>Mail>Data Files...Now am fighting with the same and planing to convert to another format like .msg to see what happens.

Go through all of the settings couple of time to ensue you've not missed anything the default is to not search everywhere, even if you tell it to search everywhere..Go into WDS indexer setup and add your save directory or one of its parents to your index listI know that's similar to what Vista use native. I'm guessing there's a correlation.It is very frustrating not to be able to use the outlook search like I used to use in the earlier version of outlook

I recommend a search tool for Outlook searchs. There are several tools available, but my favourite one is Lookeen
