Cannot delete file because it is used by another program

I am having a laptop & using windows 7 on it... i have just bought it before one month from HP... Now i want to delete the folder which i was having a program installed in it... But now its uninstalled & the only folder is left there... I am trying to delete it but it says "Cannot delete file because it is used by another program" Can anyone get me out of these problem???

i think there might be a file which might be running in the process or back hand... I think you must look for what all the processes are running & to close the processes which are unrequired...! & then try to remove the folder... I think then it will work....!

i thing you have just removed the program from the computer i think you must be asked for restart & you have denied it... I think you must first restart for windows to make changes in the system... I think after that you will be able to make it out...! Whenever a program is asking for restart at that time the program is running in the background... So the folder can't be deleted...!

Go into the safe mode & try if you can remove it...! If not then I think there is a process running in the background or some or the other program might be using the file in that folder... So i will ask you to use CCleaner & remove all the registry problems first...! And then restart your computer 7 then remove the folder it will then be able to remove the folder...!
