Problem with Acrobat Reader after uninstalling Office 2007

I have some users who needed to use Excel 2003, though they already had Office 2007 installed.
Office 2007 was uninstalled and Excel 2003 installed but this seems to have messed a couple of things up. When trying to run Acrobat Reader 8 they now get an error saying "Application failed to Initialize properly (0x0000034). Click OK to terminate the application"

Any suggestions on where I should start to try to resolve this?

This error weirdly can be caused if your MS runtimes are stuffed, like .NET runtimes


This might caused due to your MS runtimes are stuffed like the NET runtimes : Download the latest version of .Net Framework.
