Vista Driver for Canoscan N650U

I have recently bought a new Canoscan N650U scanner and as I have freshly installed Vista on my machine I dont have the drivers for it. The Scanned driver cd that was provided also doesnt have the vista driver. I have done ehough search on the net but cannot find it anywhere. So does anyone know where can I download the Canoscan N650U scanner vista driver. Does the driver exists or not for vista, can anyone confirm?

After searching alot on the web, I came to know that the vista drivers for your Canoscan N650U scanner does not exists even on the cannon site that you can check over here: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...1&modelid=8008
However, you can try to install the driver on vista by installing the driver in XP compatability mode.

Download the XP driver for the Canoscan N650U scanner and save it on your desktop. Once the download is finished go to your desktop and unzip or unrar it and then plug in your scanner and try installing it - let it fail. Then, go into your control panel, device manager, find your scanner - right click "update driver software" go in and tell it where to look - here is where it tells you the driver isn't encoded properly but it gives you the option to install it anyway and it works just great - it'll re-organize in your device manager under imaging devices when done.
