    What is CDDB???

CDDB, short for Compact Disc Database, is a licensed trademark of Gracenote, Inc. It is a database for software applications to look up audio CD (compact disc) information over the Internet. This is performed by a client which calculates a (nearly) unique disc ID and then queries the database. As a result, the client is able to display the artist name, CD title, track list and some additional information.

You could ripping with windows media player If you are trying to rip a track from a CD to your hard disk drive, you might not have permission to rip to the specified folder on the hard disk drive. Verify that you have the appropriate access rights to the folder, and then try again. If the problem persists, try ripping to another folder.

To change the folder where tracks are ripped to

    1. In Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.

    2. On the Rip Music tab, click Change.

    3. In the Browse for Folder dialog box, select another folder in which to store your ripped tracks, and then click OK.
