Quicktime hdv codec download

I am trying to import some HDV files in to Quicktime but it providing some error about missing a codec same thing happen while i am trying that with After Effects CS3.i can see black screen where to download Quicktime hdv codec please help me

I think the problem is due to due to your Quicktime version like there is chance that your Quicktime has lower version so try to update latest one go on apple site and Download latest QuickTime free for PC and Mac.normally if such errors occurs the application will automatically redirect you on codec side but as here not the case make sure file you are trying to open is in proper format
