How to change an image type

Sponsored Links
hello, I downloaded the trial version of Paint Shop Pro (with regret) and now i can find that most of my images files are still in jpeg and gif icons and the type is paint shop pro for it. I tried clicking on ownership of the image, edit, open with thumbnail images of windows and faxes and check always open with this program there, but it still opens in paint shop pro. How to restore its original type, can anyobody tell me? Thank you in advance for your reply and I am running Windows XP.

Re: How to change an image type

First try to uninstall your Paint Shop Pro? If not, try. Then maybe the registry remembers this association for windows and faxes type. If it still doesnt work then in this case try to clean the registry with CCleaner: http://forums.techarena.in/tips-tweaks/533699.htm

Re: How to change an image type

If you want to save your image type in the name you want to give your image and look at the box underneath then click on the drop-down menu and then select the image format you want. I suggest you use .PNG instead of .JPEG. PNG usually reduces random pixels (noise) created while saving. The image quality is far better in lots more ways too.

Re: How to change an image type

First try to open the image file from within Adobe PhotoShop then click on "File," then "Save As." Choose from the list of file formats then rename or keep the same file name, choose which directory you want to save to and click "Save."
Hope that helps.
