Why you wanna switch from iTunes? any specif reason? iTunes works well with my iPod Shuffle on my windows xp pc. Using Itunes is the only good choice as its provided by the Apple itself , means you'll have less issues with this.. where the other applications may have less updates of ipod and iphone as compare to itunes. Well this is just my advice...

I use the YamiPod , which is really good, it works nice with my ipod i don't have idea about the iphone support on it. which I'm very happy with. It is freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod under Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. Here is the download link

I have remember of one utility name is Anapod , It supports easy drag and drop iPod copy, iPod transfer and iPod backup . i have used for months but in the end switch back to Itunes..nothing is better than itunes. Also see this thread iTunes alternative for managing iPod hope it helps you.
