Re: Install Software Compatibility

Visit the Windows Vista Compatibility Center to determine whether a particular application or device is compatible. Most applications and devices will run successfully on a computer that is running Windows Vista. If you have concerns about a particular application or device, visit the Windows Vista Compatibility Center to see specific compatibility information about that product before upgrading.

Re: Install Software Compatibility

Windows Vista Compatibility Center

Wondering if your favorite stuff works with Windows Vista? Here's where you can find out if it already does or if you just need a software upgrade or a new driver. You'll get details on thousands of software programs and devices and benefit from users' feedback.

Make sure your computer is ready for the edition of Windows Vista you want.

The Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor will help you to determine if your Windows XP-based PC can run Windows Vista. You can also use the Upgrade Advisor to determine if your Windows Vista-based PC is ready for an upgrade to a more powerful edition of Windows Vista.

This small software tool will scan your computer and create an easy-to-understand report of all known system, device, and program compatibility issues, and recommend ways to resolve them. Upgrade Advisor can also help you to choose the edition of Windows Vista that best fits the way you want to use your computer.

Just download, install, and run the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor.

Re: Install Software Compatibility

Use compatibility mode in Vista which allows you run some older program in it....!

Go to Start Button & then Click on All Program
Right Click on the program for which you want to change the compatibility.
Click on Properties.
Now on the Properties Dailog Box click on the compatibility TAB.
Now see "Run this program in compatibility mode:" & click on the check box.
After that down the arrow & select the operating system that program is designed for.
Now Click OK.

Now the program might run properly. If that doesn't work for you the look the following link threads for the solution :
