Excel 2003 Damage to the File was so Extensive

I have received a file from my client & facing the problem with it.... I don't know what is the problem about, But the error message it shows "damage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible".... Does anyone know how to open this file & what the error message is about..??? Please Help...!

I think the your excel might have got corrupted or might be that the file send by the client might have got corrupted... If your excel is working fine & the file is corrupted then ask the client to send the file in archive so it will safe & less chance to get damage...!

This problem may occur if the workbook is damaged or corrupted and may occur although the workbook opens with no problems in an earlier version of Excel.

Solution : To work around this problem, you may be able to copy and paste the data from the workbook opened in an earlier version of Excel to a new workbook in Excel 2003.

There is no problem in the file as well as no problem in the Excel in your computer as your client is using the new version of excel & you using the old version you are not able to open the file... I think you need to ask the client to save the file in old version & send it again to you....! I hope this the correct solution you looking for...!
