How to play itunes mp4 in windows media player?

Hi to all of you, I have windows xp pro , i ahve both itunes and wmp 11 installed. But the thing is i don't like that iTunes interface i want to play all the Itunes files with my windows media player, but wmp doesn't supports the mp4 files. How can i play iTunes mp4 in wmp11?

You need to download codec for this, download the FFDShow MPEG-4 and DivX, and installed both of them. They are available fr free. After installing those codec you should be able to play mp4 files in your windows media player. And you can also consider the Apple Quicktime codec , it will play MPEG-4 files.

I know one more efficient method. This is bit long and manual method but really beneficial to add support for MP4 files to Windows Media Player and other software. First you need to download and install Haali Media Splitter, this is additional software that will automatically run when Windows Media Player or likewise encounters an MP4 file. While installing make sure that the Enable MP4 support option is selected . Now, Windows Media Player has the ability to open MP4 files, now we need to provide support for the video and audio information in the files to ensure playback.
