What is Registry Easy

i am using Windows XP since many years. From last few weeks it has gone very slow. I don't know why. It use to give System's memory strike, sometimes pop ups mysterious error messages, etc. So one of my colleague has suggested me to use Registry Easy. As it terms registry, it sounds me dangerous. So i am here to know what is Registry Easy ? If it is fine than where can i download it ? Please help me out.
