To add watermark from gimp in windows follow the given step :
Open image in GIMP >Text Tool > foreground/background colors tool > move the cursor over image where you want to put text > select GIMP Text Editor > type the text > Click Close > Click File > Save As new image with watermark.

Name your new layer “watermark.” From tool box select text, you should then be able to see your text on your digital art, although it will be faint.
