Use Golden Videos , Its a software that helps you convert your old VCR tapes to DVDs or video files using your PC. It is designed specifically with VHS video cassette conversion in mind and has been developed to make the converting process as easy and intuitive as possible. Just install the software and follow the step-by-step wizard.

if you have DVD recorder, it is not too difficult to transfer a recording from VHS to DVD.
    • Connect the DVD recorder to the video source. Use the highest quality S-video cable if you can, otherwise, use RCA cables for dubbing video and audio. Connecting the DVD player output to the DVD recorder input. Connecting to a digital source is different. Consult the manual of your recorder.
    • Choose your recording medium. Most DVD recorders to burn DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD + R and DVD + RW. Le-R and-RW formats are generally more compatible with other DVD players, especially the older players, but you should save and test to be sure of compatibility. If you want to record on DVD-RW or + RW that has already been registered, you must erase it first. Your manual tell you exactly how.
    • Set your DVD recorder to the summary of the input signal. Normally, you press pause and record.
    • Position of the source VHS tape at the beginning and check the entry of the recorder. This is a crucial step. If you do not get this right, you will lose a blank DVD or obtain a record below.
    • Start recording and start playing the DVD source. Do not cut the beginning of the reading before you begin recording.
    • Watch the recording or plan to stop the process at the end. You do not want to continue recording static at the end of the tape.
    • If desired, add another strip or passage to the record. You're not limited to a single band in the source disk. If you have a number of short recordings that go well together, to change the tapes and add them to your DVD.
    • Complete the process. Unlike a DVD recorder, a DVD recorder needs a couple of extra steps before you do. The DVD can be played on a player until it is finalized. First, decide whether you want to add chapter stops recording. I strongly recommend that you do. Follow the manual of your recorder. Definition of chapters is as easy as finding the right places and pressing a button on your remote control to establish a chapter. Many records will be displayed on the menu of the DVD as different titles. You'll be able to label these titles for reading. When you have finished managing the content of the DVD, you finalize the
    • DVD recorder to create chapter stops and the menu on the disc, and you're done.
