Zune player on Windows Media Center

Hi,
I want some feedback of Zune player on Windows Media Center. Does it work proper on Windows 7 also. And what about the wtv support. What are the drawback and features for the same. Because at the friends house there is some problem with the Media Center. He had upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Media Center edition. Then when he record the shows the format of the those are shows as dvd-ms not .wtv. It is saving them in the same old format. Any suggestions really appreciated.

Zune player is just a awesome tool in Media Center. The new look is really great. I had used it many a time but never find issues with it. The default format in which Media Center saves the recorded shows is DVR-MS. This format contains copyright protected content. So that is basic format which is used by Windows. All in all it is a very useful player and quiet easy to use also.

Re: Zune player on Windows Media Center

I had use Zune player many times. I had a huge collection of my songs in it. Then I upgraded the same when Microsoft announces the new version. It was a pearl version which include a Zune logo. I had discovered many flaws in using it. Like the update does not run properly. It was really hard to find the registry entries for the software. I think the new version need some more upgrades. I had anyhow downgraded to the older version and right now does not face any problems.

Re: Zune player on Windows Media Center

This is the most common query related to Zune player in Media center. In my case I had downloaded codecs and licensing and everything works great under DVR_MS format. Transcoding can be the best option. This can be done by using Windows Media Player. I had discovered that there is not support for WMDRM, transcoding DVR-MS, streaming DVR-MS from the computer to zune, now wireless sync support, etc.
