open office won't open my ms office documents

Hi,

I have a simple question for you guys.
open office won't open my ms office documents
I have some documents from Microsoft Office like excel word etc.

Now the problem is that when i have installed Open Office & I try to open thos Ms office files in Open Office I can not open it.

Basically any document from Ms office will be easily read by Open Office.
Even if you know you can save Documents from open office to Ms office format or say extension. So the point here is that if you are sending the documents to person who don't have open office then you have to send the files in ms office supporting format.
I hope you are getting the point I want you to tell you.
