No Audio from Windows Media Player

I am facing some issue with my Windows Media Player last time everything was working fine but today when i try to start Windows Media Player to listen some songs i was not able to hear songs , same thing happen with Videos too over here i am able to see the videos but no audio and i am using Windows XP SP 2 as my operating system. Can anyone help me out with this issue ?

Perhaps uninstalling and re-installing WM codecs pack can solve the problem.

Yes i am able to hear system sound i am facing this issue with Windows media player only and i am really got frustrated with it because i only use Windows Media player only for listening music if i use any other software then i am able hear audio. Can anyone tell me what would be the alternative solution for it.

I was also facing such kind of issue i try to reinstall Sound driver and then it was working fine for me, if you are still not able to hear any audio try to get the latest version of Windows media player and have a check for the same.

Try to reinstall only MediaPlayer, disintall it end reinstall last version.

Hi,
I would suggest to remove those software first. Then, remove Media Player 11 and re-install it. CHeck whther the sound come back.
