Best software player to read damaged disks

hi
i am having some disk with damage sector that i am not able to read with windows media player can any one tell me which is the good player that will can read such damage disk ? is that possible for any player ? please reply thank you

VLC media player is good player to read damaged disks. VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player and multimedia framework capable of reading most audio and video formats (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, DivX, MPEG-1, mp3, ogg, aac ...) as well as DVDs, Audio CDs VCDs, and various streaming protocols. but there is limitation and depend on how much disk is damage it can read.

There is no that much efficient player application present so better to use rip utility as even once any player read disk there is no guaranty for next time ,so make image of that disk so you can get back up or can read from backup. you can use DVD decryptor with hardware and software retries set to 0 that will take time.
