How do you justify a paragraph

I have created some matter in Word 2007 and i know that i can use Shift- Enter to justify the last line in a paragraph. But whenever i am trying to do this only stretches the last line over the available horizontal
space, like this:

to illustrate the justification problem I am


Instead of that i would like to have text moved from previous lines to subsequent ones, in order to justify the entire paragraph as neatly as possible. Can anyone tell me how to do this.

As per my knowledge if you want to have it then you need to enter complete the paragraph which will produce a short lines and there is no automatic way where you can have the lines as you are thinking because this is really not possible if anyone knows it then please post it here. I would also like to know what would be the solution for it.

To have a paragraph as justify you need to first select the paragraph and in the menu option you would get justify option over here click on it and you would be able to have justify a paragraph.

If you want in the way which you are saying it then in that case you need to use Space Before and Space After option for that you need to follow the below steps:-

1. Click on choose Format and then select paragraph from the menu.
   
   
2. Now choose the Indents and Spacing tab.
   
   
3. Then enter 18 pt in the Before field.
   
   
4. Finally click on OK. You now have 18 points.

For Space after you need to follow the same steps just replace the third step by entering 12 pt in the After field.
