Rundll32.exe missing

I had the win32/cryptor virus and got prevx 3.0 to get rid of it. upon clean up being done I cannot open anything. I get the message "what program would you like to use to open this file?" Trying to open my control panel i get the message "C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe application not found.

help me. I run windows xp and have the reinstallation cd.

what do i do to fix this?? i am no computer expert either. So pls post responses that anybody can decipher . thank you.

The only solution would be Format your pc, because there are no fix to it .

To resolve this issue, follow these steps :

1. Put the Windows XP CD ROM disk in the CD ROM drive.
   
   
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
   
   
3. Type expand X:\i386\rundll32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe in the Open box, where X is the letter of your CD ROM Drive.
   
   
4. Restart the computer.
