I am not sure about exporting screen shot from Windows Movie maker. but definitely you can take screen shots from Windows Media Player. Once you finished making the video in Windows movie maker play it in WMP and press printscreen or Ctrl + I. It will capture the image and you can paste in Paint and save. Thats it !!!
Hey, thanks for discussing this topic. As you said, by tapping Printscreen we can capture screen shot in wmp, i am not able to capture doing so. When i use the print screen, only a blank image gets captured from the windows media player. Am i missing something ?
For capturing screen shot in running Windows Media Player, you need to go through some settings first. Here is what you need to do:-
- Open Window Media Player and go to Tools in the menu and click on Options.
- In Options you need to click on Performance Tab
- Under Performance Tab scroll down and click on Advanced Button
- You will find there an option “Use Overlays’, just uncheck it box and click Ok
Thats it. You are done. Now play any movie and capture any screen shot by pressing Ctrl + I or by tapping PrintScreen.
