    Make a bootable cd with nero 8

    i have backup my data from my hard disk now i want to bun this data on cd or dvd but i want to make it bootable so can any help me and explain how i can make a bootable cd with nero 8 ?

    Instead of nero you can do this better with BartPE and PE Builder.Bart's PE Builder helps you build a "BartPE" (Bart Preinstalled Environment) bootable Windows CD-Rom or DVD from the original Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 installation/setup CD, very suitable for PC maintenance tasks.

    It will give you a complete Win32 environment with network support, a graphical user interface (800x600) and FAT/NTFS/CDFS filesystem support. Very handy for burn-in testing systems with no OS, rescuing files to a network share, virus scan and so on. see here Creating a bootable dvd with Nero

    Download boot.ima small file which is available on the web.You will find the file later in the insert zip file available. Download the zip and place the file in a folder for easy access ...
    • Launch Nero Burning ROM from the desktop shortcut or your programs.
    • New compilation screen opens. If this is not the case, click New.
    • Top left make sure you are selecting in CD (or DVD depending on your needs)
    • In the left list, select CD-ROM (Boot)
    • Move to the Boot tab
    • In the upper, check image file
    • Click the Browse button right
    • A dialog box opens, select the file you boot.ima
    • In the lower part, check Allow options expert
    • Emulation type, select No Emulation
    • Boot message, leave the default
    • Load segment of sectors, enter 0000 (four times zero)
    • Number of loaded sectors, type 4
    • Put yourself on the ISO tab
    • In length of the file name, select Max 31 char.
    • Verify that the default values correspond to the capture below
    • Put yourself on the Label tab
    • In the central part, check Manual
    • You can (or not) complete the Joliet area for the title of the CD, you'll also access the latest
    • Click the More button labels to get the labels, and then fill in your support as in the capture below, finish by clicking OK
    • You finally put on the Burn tab
    • In the central part, to select method of writing Whole disc
    • Then check that the information corresponds to the capture below, to confirm by New
    • A new window appears, where you will be able to select your burn.
    • The right side is separated into 2 parts:
      • The tree of disks and folders on the left
      • The contents of the disk or folder to the right
    • Select the folder in the left part, containing the image of your CD to burn, and then from right select the content for the slide in the left pane ISO like the capture below.
    • You can then possibly rename the title of your CD, the name that will appear when it is inserted in the drive.
    • Finish with the Burn button.
    • A confirmation window appears, press the Burn button.
