Must-Have Freeware Programs / Applications

What are the best freeware application you know that we must have on our system ? I'll say the Firefox is the best browser application which is available for free, i know all browsers available for free but this is the best one i think. So which applications are in your Must-have Freeware list ? No matter of which platform windows, linux or mac etc . Lest share the knowledge so that me and all can get advantage of those very best freeware applications. Hoping from all to post their views in this post. Thank you.

Well there are many freeware applications i have used which performs really important tasks for me.

Like Ad-aware 2007 , Notepad + , Maxthon (I feel its better than firefox), TwewakUI, CPU-z etc

Well if guys don't know i would like to name the two applications i.e NTRegOpt and Outlook Duplicate item remover.
