Thunderbird spell checker no dictionary

I have downloaded and installed Thunderbird several time but thunderbird just not working for spell checker as no dictionary so please tell me how can i get dictionary on in Thunderbird also i am looking for different language dictionary so if any one have solution please reply ..

If you updated some application also check for correct settings also additional dictionaries are available in many languages in the form of add-ons. Extending Dictionary Switcher can then take to detect the language used when writing an email, and automatically select the correct dictionary.

I'm trying to see for way to directly access the file system for configuration as can be done in Firefox by typing about: config in the address bar. because my installation is not a basic installation, maybe the problem comes from well

i tried
- Installed the dictionary en via add new dictionnary preference of the spelling. after restarting nothing.

- Downloaded from my office on xp file and then added with the addition of extensions. but after restarting nothing.

I think the dictionary which is completely compatible with Thunderbird can be installed with success.
