How to turn-off OWA (outlook web access) forms

    Hello friends,

I have Microsoft Outlook Express installed in my Windows computer. Currently, I have SBS 2003 with SSL Forms enabled for OWA (outlook web access). I have a OWA publishing rule in my ISA server. I just need to take off public folders to access them internally via web browser without logging through the SSL form. So I want to ask -- Is there a way to turnoff or disable OWA option ? Any ideas.....

    Thanks.

    Try doing this --

    • Go to IIS Manager
    • Remove the requirement for SSL on the VDir named Public
-- This way FBA will stop working on the PFs (because FBA needs SSL).
    • If you don't need SSL on your PFs, then this is a way of removing FBA.

You can also try another way
    • Disable Basic Auth
    • Enable Integrated Auth on that Public VDir in IIS Manager (FBA also needs Basic Auth).
      - Well, this might not work, but the settings in Exchange System Manager (which are fixed at Basic when you enable FBA) may well keep overwriting the IIS Manager setting.

    Worth trying atleast....!!!!

The ideal way to avoid the SSL warnings is to replace the certificate with a commercial one. Otherwise, you have no security on the server and all user names and passwords go across in the clear.

Also if you remove SSL, then you'll also lose the forms based authentication page. And if users don't logout correctly then someone else can easily login to the account.

    Do this and check :

    >>> Internet Explorer | Tools | Internet Options | Security Tab | Trusted Sites | Sites Button | add *.yourdomain.com | Click close | Custom Level... | Miscellaneous | Display Mixed Content | Enable <<<
