    Outlook Web Access .wav attachments

I want to open .wav file attachment from my Outlook Web Access. But the problem is that I am unable to do so because it fails each and every time with the message saying Windows cannot open this file. Can you help me how to open Outlook Web Access .wav attachments? I know how to do so in Microsoft Outlook but not in Outlook Web Access. Is the procedure for Outlook and Outlook Web Access same?

You can use Windows Media Player to open .wav extension files.

    1. Open Windows Explorer

    2. Choose Tools - Folder Options - File Types

    3. Search for ".WAV" extension "WAV File" File type

    4. Click "New" then add ".WAV"

    5. Click "OK"

    6. In the "Details of WAV extension" section

    7. Click the "Change" button and ensure that the "Windows Media Player" is the site selected。

    8. Also make sure that the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" check box is checked.

    9. Click "OK"

You can even use VLC player to open the file. First save the attachment on your hard drive and then try to open it via VLC player or even Windows Media Player. I think VLC player can directly play your file without the need of any settings whereas you might require to do some changes (for once) to open it.
