Dell Dimension 8300 audio device drivers

I have Dell Dimension 8300 computer at my home which I recently formatted. I don't have the drivers CD with me for this computer and so I am in search for this. Some how I installed most of the drivers except audio device drivers. I searched a lot but didn't found it. Can you show me a way where I can download the audio device drivers for my Dell Dimension 8300 computer?

I think you have not tried the Dell website. Because if you had went to Dell, you should have not made this thread. You can visit this link:

Are you sure you don't have the drivers or is it that you are unable to hear any sound or got some error? If so then just confirm if Windows Audio Service has been started. Go to Desktop and right click on My Computer, select Manage and then Services. Look for Windows Audio and double-click on it to start the service.

How to install Dell Dimension 8300 audio device drivers

1. Double-click on the file labeled R58182.EXE.
2. The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\r58182. Note down this path.
3. The Self-Extractor window appears.
4. Click OK.
5. After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor window is still open, close it.
6. Click the Start button and then click Run.
7. Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\r58182 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
8. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
